## Description

The Alexei Mateevici house-museum in Zaim, Căușeni district, opened on 26 March 1988 in the house where the priest and poet Alexei Mateevici, author of the poem "Limba noastră" \(Our Language\), lived. The museum has six rooms: three memorial rooms \(the parents' room, the children's room, the family library\) and three exhibition halls, with paintings and sculpture, ethnographic objects, photographs, documents and old books. It lies about 74 km from Chișinău. Visits are arranged by contacting the museum staff in advance.
