Castel Mimi Winery
Wineries
Castel Mimi is a winery with a hotel and restaurant in Bulboaca village, Anenii Noi district, built around the castle of Constantin Mimi, the last governor of Bessarabia. Visits are by reservation: the Simbol or Family tour (1 h 10) goes down into the historic cellars, through the organic garden and the green maze, and includes a tasting of three wines or, for families, the Baba Neagră dessert. Longer tours of 2 to 3 hours add lunch or dinner, and there are wine-blending workshops and a wine spa. The Bufnița Albă restaurant serves traditional dishes in a modern style, with ingredients from the castle garden and the area. Cultural and culinary events are held there too.
