Nature · Northern Moldova
Naslavcea is a village in Ocnița district on the Nistru, at the northernmost point of the country. From here you can see the "Heart of the Nistru", an island in the river of that shape. The village lies on hilly ground, and around it are natural monuments: flint outcrops and steep riverbanks. To the south is the "La 33 de vaduri" landscape reserve, with gorges, tectonic faults and floodplain ecosystems. In the village are the Church of the Dormition and the water mill, a monument of national importance dated to the late 19th century. The village is first documented in 1437.
