Valea Trandafirilor (Rose Valley) Park

Valea Trandafirilor Park is in Chișinău, in the Botanica and Centru sectors, on a slope once planted with roses, which gave it its name. It was developed in 1968 and opened in 1969, and in Soviet times was called the Lenin Urban Culture and Recreation Park. The park has three lakes, beaches, children's areas and sports facilities. The Chernobyl Victims Memorial stands at its edge, and the amusement park has the only working Ferris wheel in Chișinău.
