Chișinău and Surroundings

Zentrum is a four-star hotel in central Chișinău, in a building from 1875 built with the participation of architect Alexander Bernardazzi. Its first owner, Sevastia Balabanova, opened an art gallery on the ground floor for young painters, and artists stayed overnight in rooms that are now part of the hotel. The rooms are named after artists, from Vincent van Gogh and Wassily Kandinsky to Arush Votsmush and Mark Verlan. There are five types, from a 20 m² standard room to a 60 m² Zentrum Suite; several have a kitchen, and rooms have air conditioning, a safe, a kettle with tea and coffee, bathrobes and a washing machine.
