Photo of Manuc Bey Palace

The Manuc Bey complex in Hâncești is centred on the Princely Palace, built between 1857 and 1861 to a design by architect Alexandru Bernardazzi, combining four styles: Armenian, Turkish, Moldovan and European. The complex has underground galleries and tunnels that once linked its buildings; the Iamandi House is joined to the palace by a restored passage. The Hunting Castle houses a museum with objects from the History and Ethnography Museum collections. The website also lists excursions and events.
