Nature
The Codrii reserve lies in the central Codri forests of Moldova, near Lozova commune in Strășeni district, about 49 km from Chișinău. It was established in 1971 as the country's first state forest reserve. Old forests shelter rare plants, mammals and birds. The Nature Museum presents local wildlife, including mammals, birds, reptiles, amphibians, insects and bird nests. The reserve has an eco-trail and a lake, on whose shore a mobile cabin can be used for lodging; fishing is allowed for a fee. The strictly protected zones are closed to visitors, and access to the territory is by permission.
A rough sketch. The distance is in a straight line, not by road.
