Iagorlâc Landscape Reserve

The Iagorlîc scientific reserve, created in 1988, lies on the left bank of the Dniester at the mouth of the Iagorlîc river in Dubăsari district. It protects water and shoreline ecosystems: forests, steppe, wet meadows and open water, with rare plants, birds, mammals and reptiles. An ecological trail allows a nature walk; the path is narrow and sometimes difficult. Wear footwear suited to the season and bring insect repellent. The area is administered de facto by the Transnistrian authorities, so check access before you travel.
