"La Tanti Masa" gastronomic workshop

At La Tanti Mașa in Slobozia Mare, Cahul district, Maria Minciună welcomes guests to a gastronomic workshop. Visitors learn to prepare cuscuți, a speciality of the area, and taste preserves made from unusual ingredients: peppers, figs, elderflower and cherry tomatoes; there are also fruit liqueurs. The family also offers lodging. Next door is Nicolae Minciună's winery, Domeniile Pană, with tastings of local wines and, in autumn, grape picking and pressing. Prices and timetable are not published; they are agreed at booking.
