The Transfiguration Church stands at Ștefan cel Mare și Sfânt Boulevard 164-A in Chișinău. It was built between 1899 and 1902 to the plans of the architect Mihail Seroținski, in the Russo-Byzantine style, as the chapel of the Michael the Brave boys' gymnasium, dedicated to Saints Constantine and Helen, and consecrated on 19 May 1902. From 1962 to 1990 the building served as a planetarium, and in October 1991 it was returned to the Church. Today it is fully renovated, open to the public and belongs to the Moldovan Orthodox Church.
