Suta de Movile is a protected landscape in the Rîșcani district, near the Prut River between the villages of Branişte and Cobani. The area stretches about 8 km and holds more than 3,500 elongated mounds with steep slopes, from 1–3 m up to 30 m high; the tallest is called Movila Țiganului. Scientists explain the relief either as reefs of a Tertiary sea or as landslides and collapses. Legend says the mounds are graves of the Getae. Oak forests grow on the hills. It is a place for walks in nature and photography; the nearest town is Glodeni.
