Nature
Stânca Mare is what remains of an ancient limestone coral reef, from the time when the area lay under the sea. It stands south of Cobani village in Glodeni district, inside the Pădurea Domnească scientific reserve on the Prut. The rock is 1000 m long, 100 m wide and up to 40 m high. The reserve is part of several local hiking trails linking nearby natural sites. Check the reserve's access rules before you visit.
